On January 18th we will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day in America. Of our our greatest American leaders, MLK Jr. day gives us a chance to reflect on his courage, strength, and leadership skills and also look ahead to continued growth as a country. Get involved this week, learn some history, and participate in some of the great activities available out there.
Our friends over at Kaboose.com have lots of great things to do:
- You can read about Dr. King’s life and legacy
- Check out an interactive MLK Jr. Timline
- Find an MLK Jr. Day activity
Here another great page full of civil rights historical sites to visit throughout the US.
Have a great time celebrating MLK Jr. Day with your friends and families.
Don’t forget MLK Jr. Day is a day for volunteering so we hope you get out there and lend a hand in your community. Talk to your parents and friends about this.
President Obama’s team of technology folks will be launching a new MLK Technology Challenge to help schools become more connected to the web. Sounds cool. Get involved.
