The world’s tallest building was officially opened this week in Dubai. The building is called the Burj Dubai and has 200 stories and is over 800 meters tall (or over 2600 feet — there are 3.28 feet in a meter) There are offices, apartments, and a hotel in the Burj Dubai. It took 22 million work hours to complete the building and they have been at it since 2004. Before it was opened, the world’s tallest building was Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
