I am not seeing any action buttons when I log into my league. How do I view my roster and see what’s going on with my team?
If you are having trouble viewing the top navigation bar or the drop-down menus when you log into your league, you probably need to update your browser. Older browsers will display web pages that are different from time to time, so it’s best to use the most current version. Our website is best viewed using Internet Explorer 7.0+, Firefox 3.0+, Chrome 4.0+, and Safari 3.0+.
If you are using Internet Explorer and are not sure of the version, click “Help” at the top of the window and then click “About Internet Explorer.” You should be able to see whether you are using either IE 6, 7, or 8. Go ahead and upgrade if your Internet Explorer is version 7 or below.
What is the difference between a ‘public’ and ‘private’ league?
Both types of leagues are free and follow the same rules – from drafts and points to playoffs and prizes.
Public (or Open) leagues are available for anyone to join, though some public leagues to have simple requirements. For example, our Mother-Child Leagues and Father-Child Leagues require that all teams be comprised of a Mom & Child or Father & Child. All public leagues have 8 teams per league for football. Click here to join a public league.
Anyone can set up a private league and invite their friends/family members/classmates and others to join. In order to join a private league, a player must be invited. For example, a little league team may create a private league for team members and their parents play together or an office manager may create a private league for her colleagues (and her colleagues’ kids) to play fantasy football together. The person who creates the league will send invitations via email. Click here to create a private league.
When will the automated draft take place for my league?
Draft rankings will be available on August 3, 2010. Automated drafts for Family Fantasy Sports begin on August 24, 2010. In order for the draft to take place, the entire league must be full. This means that your league must have 8 teams.
Once a league is full, we have a process that runs every day at 10:00 am ET that makes each Family Fantasy football league “official”.
After every league becomes “official”, you will receive an email notification to inform you that your automated draft is coming up in 48 hours. Or, if you are in a private league with an offline draft, that offline results can be entered by the league commissioner (the team owner who was the first to create a team in your league).
For example, if your league reached its required amount of 8 teams at 11:15 am ET today, it is scheduled to become an “official” league tomorrow at 10 am ET. After that time, emails are sent out to the league members, and the League Commissioner will have the ability to log in and enter in their draft results for their offline league.
We had our offline draft for my private league. When can I upload our team rosters?
If you are in a Private League with an Offline Draft, the League Commissioner (the first person to create a team in your league) will be able to enter each team’s roster beginning August 25, 2010. Remember that the offline draft is for Private Leagues ONLY. It requires you to conduct your own draft with other members of your league.
How do I enter our rosters from an offline draft?
The team owner who was the first to create a team in your league is considered the League Commissioner. The League Commissioner should login to your league and click on “DRAFT” on the blue top navigation bar. From there he or she has the ability to enter the draft results for your league.
To upload the rosters:
1. Login to your league, and click on “DRAFT” in the blue bar on top
2. Use the “Team/Round” drop down menu to select the team whose roster you wish to upload
3. Click the SEARCH button
4. Select each quarterback from the list of available players and click “ADD” to add him to the roster
5. Use the “MOVE UP” and “MOVE DOWN” buttons to place that player in the correct round of the draft
6. Use the “Position” drop down menu to see the list of available players at each position
7. Click the SEARCH button for the list of available players to show up in the menu
8. Continue this process until each team’s roster is complete
9. Be sure to click “SAVE PICKS” when you are finished with each team
10. IMPORTANT! After entering all rosters, a button will appear in red. Please press this red button to complete your draft, otherwise your league will not be marked as final!
