Please, don’t get angry with us, we just wanted to share the news that ticket prices for NFL football games will be going up in most cities. From our friends at the USATODAY.com. (Just another reason to head out the training camp and to play in our leagues at Family Fantasy Sports)
Despite the threat of a work stoppage in 2011 and rules for an uncapped system in the final year of the NFL’s labor deal with its players, NFL teams are more prone to raise ticket prices this season.According to a USA TODAY survey, 18 of the league’s 32 teams have increased prices on tickets — a stark contrast to last season, when 24 clubs didn’t raise prices.
“Each team makes those decisions carefully, and there’s some scaling — certain tickets may decrease while others may increase,” said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. “It’s probably also a combination of the fact that for two years prices have stayed the same.”
