Cowboys Take Home Week 10 Prize

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

The Cowboys (Open League 147) had a great performance for Week 10 of the NFL Fantasy Football Season. A huge Cowboys fan out of New England, the team owner supports the Red Sox and also the Bruins. His son, the owner of Horned Gators,  also plays in Open League 147, he is a huge Alex Ovechkin fan and plays hockey. The Cowboys put up 149.58 points en route to winning their Team of the Week certificate and also their $100 college savings prize. Check out their lineup below — nice

Great performances across the board for the Cowboys during week 10. From the QB to the Wide Receivers, big numbers across the lineup.

Something for Dad to Share w/Kids

Friday, June 19th, 2009

While Fathers will be doing most of the receiving this Sunday on Father’s Day, we wanted to offer something for Dad’s to share with their kids. Below is statement that Arnold Palmer is said to have kept posted on the wall of his office. We don’t know who the author is.

Whether You Think You Can or You Can’t:  You’re Probably Right

If you think you are beaten, you are;

If you think that you dare not, you don’t;

If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t,

Its almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost;

For out in the world you’ll find

Success begins with a fellow’s will.

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are;

You’ve got to think high to rise;

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man;

But sooner or later the man who wins

Is the man who thinks he can.

We love this essay/verse and hope you share it with kids and others in your life b/c we believe it to be true.

Btw, spend more time with your kids and family by playing in our free fantasy football leagues during the 2009 NFL Season. Sign up is now open and we are once again awarding over $40,000 for college savings to participants in our leagues.
